Newsflare
Motion Graphics, Video Editing
Newsflare is one of the largest marketplaces of rights-cleared user-generated videos in the world. In 2019, they launched Newsflare Studios, a production hub that utilizes their library of 280,000 UGC videos to create new original content across a variety of social media channels.
As the Studios division continued to grow, Newsflare needed help scaling up their social video output while maintaining brand consistency. So we teamed up together to make that happen.
Motion Graphics Design + Templatization
I worked off of Newsflare’s updated branding guide to design, animated, code, and publish a library of motion graphics that could be dragged and dropped onto their video editor’s timelines.
While their older graphics package consisted of a muddled mess of After Effects compositions that stumped new editors, I delivered a new package optimized in the MOGRT format that integrated seamlessly into their video editing software, Premiere Pro.
I then created an extensive documentation package, complete with a full technical guide and training video, in order to cut their new editor’s onboarding time in half.
Social Video Editing
Finally, I worked with Newsflare Studios to produce over 100 videos for their social channels. These video compilations tapped into Newsflare’s vast library of pre-licensed user-generated viral videos to create a series of highly engaging and sharable content across Facebook, Snapchat, and TikTok.
Thanks to the customized motion graphics library package, Newsflare’s team of video editors no longer had to worry about complicated composting programs or varying aspect ratios to produce their videos at lightning speed. The graphics package ended up increasing video output by 25%.
In addition to that, a few of the new social videos gained over 1 million views, adding significant subscriber and revenue growth to Newsflare’s bottom line.
